HipAI ("HipAI", "we", "us") is a fitness app that analyzes a photo you provide and returns training focused guidance. This policy explains, in plain terms, what we do with your information.
The short version
- The only sensitive data we handle is the photo you choose to analyze.
- Your photo is sent once, over an encrypted connection, only to generate your result. We do not store it.
- Your results, history and streak stay on your device.
- No account is required. We do not track you and we do not sell your data.
Photos you submit
When you tap analyze, the app resizes your photo and sends it over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our backend, which forwards it to our AI processing provider (OpenAI) to generate your scores and training suggestions.
- Before your photo is ever sent, the app asks for your explicit consent and names the AI provider (OpenAI) it will be sent to. Nothing is sent until you agree.
- We do not save your photo on our servers. It is processed in real time and discarded once the result is returned.
- Our AI provider (OpenAI) may retain the image for a limited period (up to 30 days) solely to monitor for misuse, after which it is deleted. It is not used to train their models, per their API data usage terms.
- OpenAI is the only third party your photo is shared with, and it processes the image under its API data usage policies, which provide data protection comparable to that described in this policy.
- Please only submit photos of yourself. Do not submit photos of other people without their consent.
Data stored on your device
Your analysis results, scan history, streak and remaining scans are stored locally on your device only. This data does not leave your device (apart from the photo processing described above) and is removed when you delete the app.
Purchases
Subscriptions and one time unlocks are processed by Apple and by our purchase provider, RevenueCat, which receives purchase and transaction data plus a randomly generated app identifier to manage your access. We never receive your payment details; those are handled by Apple.

Each provider processes data only as needed to run the app.
What we do not do
- No user accounts or logins.
- No advertising, and no third party ad or analytics tracking.
- We do not sell or rent your personal data.
Age
HipAI is intended for users aged 16 and over. It is not directed to anyone under 16.
Your choices
- You can stop submitting photos at any time.
- Deleting the app removes all data stored on your device.
